Building Healthy Relationships

Amany Nasser, the East Bay Representative of the Arab Cultural and Community Center and a long time social activist, will speak on conflict resolution, her topic is: Resolving differences – Amicably
SEMAH Inc., an interfaith organization dedicated to the prevention of domestic violence and fostering healthy relationships and communities, will be hosting a “Wellness Awareness” event on November 16, 2008
The afternoon will begin with Mehran’s special Sunday lunch and feature knowledgeable discussion and advice from professionals who will provide insight on how to have better relationships with yourself and others.
Attendees will also see clips from the ground breaking and acclaimed video: Broken Vows: Religious Perspectives on Domestic Violence. The Video discusses how religious teachings have been misused to perpetuate abuse, and how religious communities can work proactively to end domestic violence and make our communities healthier and happier.
